I’m Kiki, an experienced though not typical hiking guide. Originally from Belgium, I settled in the Algarve 8 years ago because the area took my breath away. I go on adventures in the Algarve and bring you with me for outdoor trips in summer and active retreats and hikes in winter. Focusing on small groups allows me to pay attention to detail and the soul behind the human.
Magnificent red cliffs and quiet wild beaches, peaceful countryside, fragrant pine forests, ancient ruins and sacred places … I will lead you to off beaten tracks and the many hidden gems Algarve has to offer! I will share with you the extraordinary fauna & flora of Algarve: wild herbs, edible flowers, indigenous animals and graceful wild orchids.

I have walked with many different groups over the years, but Kiki Trips is by far the best. Kiki is always very friendly and informative, but also very professional. She has a lot of knowledge about the wild flowers and their uses on the route, and will always give a good brief on what you are likely to see and any history to do with the walk. The walks are always varied and normally have a purpose, rather than just a simple circuit. The last one involved a 10k hike along a river, with a boat trip back.

Kiki's guided hike was definitely the highlight of our holiday in the Algarve! The hike was very scenic and interesting and Kiki was super friendly and enthusiastic. The 'easy' hike was just the right amount of challenge for our group aged 10-72. We will definitely ask Kiki to lead us on another hike when we come back to the Algarve!

I have already booked two hikes with Kiki trips now. Once with a public group and once with a private group. Both tours were very interesting and informative. We were in wonderful places and learned a lot about the flora and fauna of the Algarve. One trip also had a really exceptional lunch in a very relaxed environment. The tour group still talks about the trip today and the pictures from it have made it into our private photo book of 2020. We will definitely book trips with Kiki again.
